Designed for younger children at the early stages of language development, Pic-a-Book 图乐窝 uses storytelling, dramatisation, songs and play to support early verbal expression and comprehension. Exploring Language, Culture and Play (Playgroup)
By the time children reach Playgroup, they are ready to engage more actively with the world around them. KiddiWinkie introduces three programmes at this stage, each nurturing a different dimension of early development: Playtinkers™, Backpack Stories™ and our Chinese Cultural Immersion Programme.
Playtinkers™
Playtinkers™ is a hands-on core learning experience that begins at the Playgroup level and continues through to Kindergarten 2. Built around loose-parts play, problem-solving and early numeracy, it encourages children to build, sort and create in ways that mirror real-world thinking. Our Playgroup curriculum places a strong emphasis on collaboration, communication and flexible thinking.
Backpack Stories™ 背包旅游记
Backpack Stories™ takes children on imaginative ‘travels’ around the world, introducing global cultures through storytelling, music, journaling and creative writing. The focus is on cultural curiosity and expressive skills, nurturing children who are open-minded and aware of the world beyond their immediate environment.
文化之窗 – Chinese Cultural Immersion Programme
Conducted fully in Chinese, this programme brings traditions to life through food, art, music and cultural festivals. It’s designed to build genuine interest and familiarity with the Chinese language and culture through immersive hands-on activities.
Developing Literacy, Voice and Critical Thinking (Nursery to Kindergarten)
As children progress into the Nursery and Kindergarten years, KiddiWinkie's programmes deepen in scope. The Nursery 1 curriculum introduces more structured literacy and language development, while Kindergarten enrichment programmes build critical thinking, global awareness and confident self-expression.
Author's Universe™ 大作家，小读者
This bilingual literacy programme introduces children to notable authors and diverse genres in both English and Chinese. Children explore storytelling techniques and reading appreciation, with the journey culminating in writing their very own book.
小小"悦"读家 – Chinese Reading Programme
Curated readers, flashcards and smart reading tools form the backbone of this programme. The focus is on building fluency and confidence in Mandarin in a supportive, pressure-free environment.
Super Readers, Super Heroes
On the English side, Super Readers, Super Heroes supports reading comprehension and early writing through journaling and interactive reading, positioning literacy as an engaging and meaningful part of everyday life rather than an academic exercise.
Kiddi Newsroom™ 趣谈世界
Rounding out this stage, Kiddi Newsroom™ takes children beyond the page and into the wider world. Children engage with age-appropriate community and global topics, share opinions with peers and participate in respectful discussions, building genuine confidence in communication.
Embedded Enrichment Programmes
Beyond named programmes, enrichment is a core part of every child's experience at KiddiWinkie. Rather than being offered as optional add-ons, these experiences are embedded directly into the curriculum, spanning movement, music, art, languages and early logical thinking to support holistic development across physical, cognitive, social and creative domains.
